Saint-Félicien zoo growing with more exciting and inclusive experiences

The Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien is constantly evolving to deliver an increasingly accessible and immersive experience. Along with the magnificent new arctic fox exhibit, the Zoo is continuing its upgrades designed to make visiting the zoo easier for all.
First, the zoo is redesigning a rather steep pathway and building a new footbridge, in collaboration with Kéroul, an organization devoted to accessible travel, which will make exploring the zoo easier for people with reduced mobility, families with strollers, and seniors. Everything has been done to maintain the magical character of the place and preserve its wide-open natural spaces.
New water features and a revamped mini-farm add even more opportunities for family fun and discovery of boreal wildlife.

A new restaurant overlooking the Saguenay Fjord

The recently opened HORIZON – Cuisine du Fjord restaurant is already making a name for itself as one of Québec’s distinctive culinary destinations. With a great location overlooking the Saguenay Fjord, in the Auberge des 21 boutique-hotel – a veritable institution in La Baie – the restaurant combines a passion for local ingredients with culinary creativity and attentive service in a luminous décor that’s all about the magnificent vistas.
On the site, the Fjord-facing rooms with panoramic views are especially inviting. Take-out meals are prepared with the same quality and care for visitors to enjoy at the hotel or at home. And right out front is Parc de Mars, a cute park where people can eat al fresco with the Saguenay Fjord as a backdrop.
The restaurant’s certifications, including Fourchette Bleue and Aliments du Québec, attest to a culinary approach focused on the essentials, rooted in the region, and based on a commitment to respecting our natural resources.
