RadicaBOUM: Fun for kids in Shawinigan
RadicaBOUM is Shawinagan’s exciting new indoor recreation centre with a three-level maze. Designed for children 10 and under, the centre focuses on overall motor development in a safe and stimulating environment with a huge range of fun attractions, from slides and a ballroom to climbing equipment and balance and coordination games. A special zone for floor play is a toddler’s delight.
With light shows, bird calls, and the soothing sounds of waves, RadicaBOUM creates an immersive, festive tropical atmosphere. The ground floor and second floor are available for birthday parties.
The project is led by two Mauricie-based companies: Aqua Radical and Ranch Dupont. The grand opening is slated for May 1, 2026.

New experiences at Le Baluchon Éco-villégiature
In spring and summer 2026, Le Baluchon Éco-villégiature eco-resort is adding a host of new options including wellness spots, accommodations, and outdoor activities.
In June, a new heated infinity pool will be open for swimmers at SPA Santé. Overlooking the Rivière du Loup and its waterfalls, the pool blends harmoniously into the landscape and extends the thermal circuit experience, embodying the spirit of slow design. Other great wellness opportunities include forest bathing (Shinrin Yoku), and the ever-popular nature yoga.
For accommodation, two new high lofts — memorable mirrored cubes on stilts, which sleep up to four — give guests an immersive experience with their panoramic views, open floor plan, fireplace, and outdoor terrace.

Mountain bikers will be stoked to learn that the Le Pic du Loup mountain bike centre now offers 30 km of singletrack trails for all skill levels, reinforcing Le Baluchon’s status as a must-see all-season nature destination in Mauricie.

Immersive stay and escape games at Domaine Foresia
In the thick of a red pine forest, Domaine Foresia boasts six uniquely designed cabins. Two even feature an escape game experience developed in collaboration with Refuges KRYPT: their décor, objects, and clues are an integral part of the layout, helping to plunge players into the game world.
Each cottage has its own signature feature. The Frida Studio, which sleeps four, is just as the name suggests: a creative space with a selection of canvases and art supplies. The Sinatra Suite, for two, features a music area with a baby grand piano and an acoustic guitar for a warm, woodsy vibe.
Domaine Foresia is located near the village, with easy access to hiking trails, fishing, and a gourmet stop at the Microbrasserie Nouvelle France. Visitors have everything they need for a novel stay combining relaxation, immersion, and discovery in Mauricie.

New guided e-bike tour in Trois-Rivières
Tourisme Trois-Rivières is now offering new guided e-bike tours, a fun way to see the city in a whole new light. Developed in collaboration with Écobyke, the tour takes visitors through the downtown core, Old Trois-Rivières, and the waterfront, including Boréalis and the Cogeco Amphitheater. Two pedicab bikes, which can seat up to four people per trip, will cycle between the targeted areas for an inclusive, eco-friendly experience.
Phase 1 runs from July 15 to August 15, three days a week, with six departures daily. Each 45-minute ride includes historical commentary and a stop at a local business, where passengers receive a surprise gift.
This project combines environmental, tourism, and economic objectives. A pilot phase will assess its viability and long-term prospects.
