NIN celebrates the Anicinabe language and culture

MINWASHIN presents NIN, Je suis, I am, a unique exhibition running until January 3, 2027, at Québec City’s Musée de la civilisation. It is a celebration of Anicinabemowin, the Anicinabe language, and its essential role in Anicinabe culture. Designed as a symbolic forest of stories, names, and values, the exhibition combines artwork, stories, and interactive elements to create a sensory and emotional immersion in this living language. 
After touring internationally, this museum version of the exhibition makes it possible for MINWASHIN to share its vision and expertise directly with the Québec public. Every age group can enjoy and learn something from NIN, Je suis, I am , a valuable addition to Québec’s Indigenous cultural offerings, inviting visitors and locals alike to listen to and appreciate the Anicinabe language.

The MiskiZann boutique opening in downtown Trois-Rivières is an urban showcase for Indigenous crafts. Specializing in Atikamekw moccasins and accessories, it offers hand-sewn pieces adorned with traditional motifs steeped in history. 
The space also promotes immersive experiences, such as traditional moose skin tanning outside or cultural activities inside the boutique. Customers can get a firsthand introduction to Indigenous craft traditions.
This recent opening enriches Trois-Rivières with a venue dedicated to authentic creations, cultural discoveries, and open dialogue with the community.
